Liberals are loathe to find anything related to Christianity being supported by any governmental entity. Why then do you suppose Liberals would sanction the State sponsoring another religion?
Evidence the most recent dust-ups regarding Memorial Day:
Memorial Day crosses honoring fallen soldiers removed from public property after complaint
A Memorial Day display featuring crosses to honor fallen soldiers was removed from public property in Georgia after someone questioned whether the soldiers were all Christian.
The 79 white, handmade crosses posted on public property along state Highway 92 in Hiram, Ga., were meant to represent the 79 Paulding County residents who died in America’s wars, according to town officials.
But the crosses were abruptly taken down last Friday after someone called Hiram City Hall questioning whether the cross is an appropriate symbol for the memorial.
Hiram Mayor Teresa Philyaw said the cross display, which she approved and planned, was never intended to be religious.
“It was never about religion — it was just to honor them,” Philyaw told FoxNews.com on Tuesday. “I was devastated when it had to come down.”
It doesn’t matter for the Liberal that it wasn’t about religion for the Mayor. And it may very well not have been. How many individuals do you know who wear crosses around their necks for no other reason than it’s fashionable? The cross has become pretty much a fashion icon for most I would argue. It’s classical meaning has been lost in the silver and gold, the health and the wealth. And presenting a cross to represent or remember someone’s death is fairly commonplace as well.
When you see a cross with flowers and a name on the side of the road do you think “Christian icon” or do you think, “someone died here”?
Nevertheless, for Liberals, the cross represents a threat to their freedom to do and behave in any way they like without the possibility of judgment being passed onto them. The cross represents shame and the requirement to submit oneself to a deity other than themselves.
If you pay attention to such things, you’ll notice that every time a candidate like Ted Cruz gets defeated in any type of election that Liberals are utterly overjoyed, indeed overflowing with glee and gladness. They are incapable of containing their jubilation at the loss while at the same time clearly demonstrating their derision, disdain and hate for Christians.
I saw this with Cruz this year via my good friend, TheLiberal:
“So how’s the loose [sic] with Cruz campaign going? Rofl” “So much for the fiction republicans want a true conservative. Lmao.” “Cruz couldn’t even win half of evangelicals in 5 deep southern states. Social conservatism is a loser issue every time now.”
And then the Liberal will try to “help” we Christian Conservatives to win next time. How? By declaring that we must abandon our core beliefs:
“Drum out the religious buckle dragging theocrats from the party and return to secularism if republicans ever want to win another election. Lmao.”
Despite all the rolling on the floor and laughing their a** off they want you to believe they’re doing, what’s actually going on in the Liberal Statist’s heart of hearts is a very real, a very great and a very deeply held fear of Christians and Christianity. At least of Christianity in its orthodox form.
Not so much like you see it now. As you see it now Christianity is largely feckless, worthless, concerned more with feeding the worldly desires of health and wealth to those who pay for its indulgences rather than honoring and truly following the Trinitarian God of the Universe.
Orthodox Christianity, you see, dissolves the requirement that the State become the author of all that is necessary for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. In fact, Orthodox Christianity competes with the State for that assumption and wins the argument every time.
That’s exactly why in true Statist countries Christianity is highly regulated:
Venezuelans are constitutionally guaranteed freedom of religion provided that a faith is not contrary to public order or good custom.
Indeed so as long as a faith does not contradict the requirements of the State as couched in the definitions of “public order” and “good custom”, religion is good to go. Once religion steps outside of those boundaries as set by the State religion will be squashed.
Who decides what is “public order”? Who decides what is “good custom”?
Why, we Liberals in the Dept. of Religion will decide how to define “public order”. We Liberals will decide what is “good custom”. And we will decide as our self-interests require us to decide in order to continue our self-enrichment and retain the power we enjoy over you.
And in China:
Why many Christians in China have turned to underground churches
Authorities in China are keen to tighten control on the Christian Church as John Sudworth reports
If Jesus was alive today, would he be a member of the Chinese Communist Party?
Well, perhaps he would, according to one Beijing based priest, who serves in an official, state-sanctioned church. But before we hear from him, let’s go back a bit. The Chinese Communist Party once tried to destroy religion. It failed. And today, according to some estimates, there are more Christians in China than Communist Party members. Up to 100 million will be celebrating across China this Easter weekend.
But what it failed to destroy, the Party still wants to control. So, an officially atheist government effectively runs its own churches and controls the appointment of its own priests.
Like Pastor Wu Weiqing from Beijing’s Haidian Church.
“We have to remember first of all we are a citizen of this country,” he says. “And we are a citizen of the Kingdom of God. That comes second.”
The State will have no other gods before it. The State is itself a jealous god, just like Yahweh.
So why would Liberals blather on so much about how scared they are that Christians and Christianity are being sponsored by the State when a few crosses go up at a public display, or when cheerleaders want to say a prayer before the football game and yet at the same time sponsor religious holidays for Muslims in public schools and government jobs?
Philadelphia schools add two Muslim holidays
The Philadelphia School District will add two Muslim holidays to its calendar, placing it among the first in the nation to do so.
In what would be an even rarer step, Mayor Kenney said Tuesday he also hopes to adopt the holidays for city workers. He has created a task force to determine how the change can be accomplished.
A spokesman from the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington said his group is not aware of any cities that have included the holidays, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, in their municipal calendars.
“Philadelphia’s history is based on being a place where religious freedom is part of its founding ethos,” Kenney said at a news conference in City Hall, where he was joined by Superintendent William R. Hite Jr. to announce the new holidays. “Our city was built on the idea that while we may be different in nationality and ethnicity, the city welcomes all to worship and practice the faiths of our culture or our choosing.”
As for city employees, Hooper said the change would be less logistical but nonetheless symbolic, sending “the message that Muslims are included and welcomed.”
Kenney said that adding the holidays to the city calendar would require buy-in from the city’s municipal unions. The Task Force on Cultural Inclusion he announced Tuesday will include representatives from the city’s labor, commerce, and human resources offices as well as departments that would be impacted, like the court system.
Kenney said that the task force’s job “first and foremost” would be to focus on the holidays but that the focus could then broaden.
“We have to take into account how society sometimes ostracizes and eliminates people from the mainstream because of extraneous kind of reasons,” Kenney said.
Salima Suswell, a member of the Philadelphia Eid Coalition, on Tuesday said the district’s decision will “validate our young Muslim students.”
So is that the reasoning? The city “welcomes all to worship and practice the faiths of our culture or our choosing”?
Is it indeed about “how society ostracizes and eliminates people from the mainstream”?
Is it about how we need to “validate our young Muslim students”?
Or is it rather that Muslims vote Democrat and Kenney (who is a Democrat) and the rest of his ilk on the city council in Philadelphia want to be re-elected?
Muslims are the fastest-growing religious group in the world, with 23 percent of the global population, and will take over Christianity as the top religion by the end of the century, according to the Pew Research Center.
A review of Muslims by the nonpartisan organization also found that Muslims comprise a growing share of the immigrants granted permanent residency in the United States each year. Their share doubled from 5 percent of the annual permanent residency flow in 1992 to 10 percent in 2012, representing 100,000 Muslim immigrants granted permanent residency in the U.S. each year.
Pew also found that Muslim immigrants prefer more government services and that 70 percent lean Democratic. Just 11 percent identify with Republicans.
Uh oh! 70% Democrat? Aha…indeed!
These are hypocrite Liberals. This is the hypocrisy of Liberalism.
