My good friend, a liberal (note not “the Liberal” but “a liberal”, the difference being the former is a full blown jack-booted authoritarian Statist, while the latter probably isn’t really sure why he believes what he believes…love ya buddy!) notes the following with regard to this post:
Well, get used to it. He’s your candidate now

Indeed. Because I hope and pray that Trump will be the lesser of two evils there’s no doubt I’ll vote for him. But that’s all I’ve got, hope. I’d much rather have reason to believe instead of just hope.
But sadly, the smartest man in the room, Ted Cruz, has left the building. And doing so, contrary to the claims of TheIrrational before now, shows how much of a principled man of honor Cruz is.
Alan Dershowitz, a highly respected and often quoted Liberal “intellectual” had this to say concerning Cruz:
U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz (R., Texas): “Off-the-charts brilliant. And you know, liberals make the terrible mistake, including some of my friends and colleagues, of thinking that all conservatives are dumb. And I think one of the reasons that conservatives have been beating liberals in the courts and in public debates is because we underestimate them. Never underestimate Ted Cruz. He is off-the-chart brilliant. I don’t agree with his politics.”
There was also the Harvard Law student who couldn’t get into a Dershowitz class despite multiple attempts: Barack Obama.
“Twice because the computer kept him out,” Dershowitz said. “It wasn’t my fault.”
Actually, the reason conservatives beat Liberals everywhere in the intellectual realm has nothing to do with Liberals underestimating them, rather it’s because Liberalism is irrational and it’s propositions are false. It isn’t hard to debate stupid.
Cruz’s exit from the race fulfills a promise he made to stay in the race until a viable path to the nomination no longer existed. With Indiana, it no longer does and hence his exit. His exit clearly demonstrates the falsity of any and all nonsensical conspiracy-theorist claims that Cruz was an establishment candidate. The clear establishment candidate is still in the race. The man of honor left the race just as he said he would.
Now we have what we asked for…or at least some of us do and the rest of us are faced with a choice.
Do we choose the lesser of two evils in Donald Trump or the greater in Hillary Clinton?
Or put another way, is it more or less rational that the greater evil be chosen over the lesser?
Do remember the unfortunate events of 2012 and all that’s taken place in only those short 4 years after a minority of self-contradicting individuals either stayed home, voted for Jesus or whatever else they decided to do to make sure the greater evil was elected over the lesser.
